Adelaide Photographer | Sneak Peek | Celebrating…family

A while back I donated a photography package to help raise funds for the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Appeal and it was with great pleasure that I got to meet the family who bid on that package a couple of weekends ago.  I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier setting, with massive fields, a run down old building and big shady trees, and I couldn’t have wished to meet a nicer family either. With a couple of energetic boys, one gorgeous little girl and Daisy the dog, it was a real pleasure photographing this family of five over in Mt Gambier recently.

Thank you Gazzard family for a great morning … I look forward to showing you more photos real soon.

Adelaide Photographer | Sneak Peek | Celebrating … family love

Families are like fudge… mostly sweet with a few nuts.
– Author Unknown

I’ve known Lesley now for a good 9 years I’d say, and she is one of the most vivacious, outgoing women I’ve met and just quietly, a bit of a nut!  Always quick with a smile, a laugh and happy to make a fool of herself to get the crowd going (Lesley, think back to a Date with 8!!! :-) ), it makes for fun times when she is around. So when Lesley contacted me saying she wanted to surprise her hubby and get a family portrait done I was more than willing to participate.

The Botanical Gardens was our destination as David has a love of the walk down Murdoch Avenue, you know the one with all the massively big trees as you walk in from the Botanic Park end, and we spent time wandering the gardens, all the while being entertained by the gorgeous Miss Milla who certainly had her own ideas on what photographs should be taken.

Here’s a few of my favourites from today, I hope you like them as much as I do.

Thanks for a great morning in the sunshine.

See you all soon to show you the rest…can’t wait.

Adelaide Photographer | Sneak Peek | Celebrating Family

Last weekend I had the pleasure of  spending time with a wonderful family who were celebrating Mum’s birthday by updating the family portrait.  I’ve known Damian  for over 10 years now but this was the first time I’d met any of his family, including his gorgeous daughter and it truly was a pleasure spending the morning with them all.

Young Sophie took a little time to warm up to the camera but once she did it was all smiles, especially when having cuddles with her big brother Cameron.

Damian must be one of the proudest Dad’s that I know and why not… Cassandra is a lovely young lady!

Happy Birthday Sheryl :-)

I look forward to catching up with you all soon to show you the rest of your images.

Adelaide Photgrapher | Events | Telstra Awards

For the past three years now it’s been my pleasure to photograph the awards evening for Telstra’s consumer group here in Adelaide. I always look forward to this night because I used to be one of these guys in my previous life and it means I get to catch up with some great people I used to work with whilst working!  (hardly seems like work at all) For them, it’s a night of recognition, catching up with friends, getting dressed up, dancing and having fun.  The theme this year was 1920′s, so it was a perfect opportunity for the ladies to whip out the feather boas, and for the guys to get a little gangster!

It was a bit of a wet windy night outside, but once inside it was a great atmosphere.

People had fun with the theme and got into the spirit of things.

Miss Cherry Valens  of A Wink and A Smile Caberet provided some entertainment for the crowd with a couple of numbers.

Awards were presented to winning recipients in recognition of outstanding performance.  Congratulations to all winners on the night.

With formalities over, it was time to hit the dance floor and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Thanks for having me again.

See you all next year!

Adelaide Photographer | Family | Celebrating … Leo & Abby

Brother and sister,
together as friends,
ready to face
whatever life sends.
Joy and laughter
or tears and strife,
holding hands tightly
as we dance through life.
Author: Suzie Huitt

Meet Leo and Abby… Leo is a climber and Abby is a talker :-)

Leo is a Bear Grylls in the making and a lovely young man and Abby may possibly end up an actress and is just a bit cheeky but so adorable.

I got to spend time playing in the Botanical Gardens with them, fishing in ponds catching sharks (big leaves), climbing trees (ok, I didn’t climb the trees) and exploring little paths off the main path trying to find pixies!

A few tears after big brother Leo accidentally broke her stick!  :-(

There had to be a little bit of silliness with Mum too.

Thanks guys for a good morning/afternoon.  See you soon

Adelaide Photographer | Babies | Celebrating … twins

There’s two to wash,
Two to dry
Two who argue
And two who cry.
There’s two to kiss
Two to hug
And best of all
Two to Love!

…and loved they are!

Little feet, long eyelashes, chubby bellies and cheeks and big blue sparkling eyes ~sigh~ oh how I love babies.  After an afternoon with these two gorgeous bubbas left me feeling a tad clucky ;-)   Like their big brother Mitchell, Paige and Connor love kisses and cuddles from their Mummy and Daddy and were full of smiles.

I photographed Mitchell when he was about the same age and his eyes struck me then, as they did this time around, along with both the twins…sparkling, bright and very alert.  A veritable livewire, he danced and sang and showed me his books and blocks before crashing for an afternoon nap.  I don’t know how his Mumma does it, having 3 under the age of 18 months!

Thanks for having me back Jess and Dan. See you soon to show you the rest of your images.

Adelaide Photographer| Mini Sessions

Hi All

I’ve been out of touch recently as I so cleverly snapped my achilles tendon (not something I recommend or ever wish to experience again), skipping rope!  So much for trying to be fit. Having spent the best part of the past 3 months on my couch I am now raring to get out there and photograph all you wonderful people.

In honour of being back on deck I am holding mini photography sessions.

What is a mini session?  It’s a quick fun 20 minute photography session (ideal for those reluctant hubbies!). Although it’s a mini session, you still receive the same quality and service you would at a regular session.

But it’s cold out there? Yes it is!!  However, it’s a great time of year to break out your scarves, beanies, wellies, brollies, big jackets and get some beautiful portraits of you all cuddled up together or at play.

What’s in it for you?  Receive 10-15 professionally edited images in your own online gallery, your favourite image printed to 8″x10″, matted and ready to frame. Plus, any purchase you wish to make from our regular portrait range, receive 30% discount.

Cost? $100

When & where? There are 2 dates available, with 2 locations. Sessions fill fast, so get in early.

1.Saturday July 2nd at the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens from 10:30am.

2. Sunday July 17th along North Terrace, in and around the beautiful buildings from 10.30am

How do I get in on this awesome offer? Contact Briony here, fill out your details and I shall be in touch to allocate your time slot.  Please be sure to include a date preference.

Can’t wait to see you

Adelaide Photographer|Location, Location, Location

It’s always fun to spend the day checking out new locations for photography, and that’s exactly what I did the other day with my good friend & fellow photographer, Georgie Mignone from Bei Ricordi Photography.

The weather was against us with rain, rain & more rain, however, with autumn & winter approaching, it was great weather for locating wet & dry weather settings.

Armed with umbrellas…off we went…and got a tad wet :-) …but we found some great spots for future sittings.

Could you see yourself in any of the shots below?  If so, give me a call on 0417 838 556 or drop me a line via the contact page and let’s go have some fun!
